PRINCETON--The Hatter’s Bookshop located in Mercer Street’s Grassroots District celebrated a grand re-opening on September 27 focusing on the move to a new location. Tammy Dotson, Hatter’s owner, loves what she does. “After a few life changes, I decided it was time that I did something that I enjoyed,” and she found her calling as a bookseller. In 2016, Dotson made plans to lead the store and, “has found it to be a major blessing in her life.”
Dotson is happy to have made the move to a new location to serve her broad range of clients. With the 929 Mercer Street location, the store now offers larger organized sections, a reading room with comfortable couches and even an area to enjoy music.
Dotson is excited to be a part of the growth and genesis of businesses in Princeton’s Downtown shopping district. “People need to come down and enjoy all that Mercer Street has to offer—fine art, coffee, books, it’s a place for people to explore, now.”
The Hatter’s Bookshop offers a large variety of “previously loved” fiction and nonfiction books, art and even vinyl. The recent move has been, “a lot of hard work and joy,” says Dotson.
